Grey and Gold

Just love this image, the soft and ruffled feel. (via Petit Bonheurs)
Delicate glacier votives remind me of spun sugar.

Looped necklace with just the right asymmetry.

I've been in love with these knit bangles for a while. I think I'll try my hand at them this winter.

Blue, Grey, and Orange

I adore all the paintings in this shop, but especially these feathery plumes.

A perfect clutch with just the right pop. Really love the peacock feathers.

Wonderfully fun and yet sophisticated.

Dreamy Days of Summer

This is my favorite image by Sara Norris Photography.
Her photographs are so dreamy, they fill your head with softness and light.
I've always loved this picture, but it especially reminds me of now.
Days around here have been muggy, slow, sometimes rain but then always sun. Some grey and some light. Sunset has been my favorite part. The children are always up late, the days are long, and by the end we are so tired. But it is so good.

Natural History

image found via High Street Market
I've been daydreaming about some things to spruce up our home. I realized I have a lot of found objects and bits of nature collected. I love this display of natural history.

Planning

No menu planned for this week. Just some quick and easy dinners. Some cold fried chicken given from a neighbor. Macaroni and cheese. A frittata and salad. Grilled corn and burgers.
Busy week preparing for my daughter and son's birthday party this coming weekend. I'm planning on making some of these giant paper flower poms. They make me so happy. I made the smaller ones many years ago for napkin rings on Mother's Day. They're really pretty.

Resting Place

I've been feeling so tired lately, just busy with life, how we all can get sometimes. These rooms all seem like a lovely place to rest my head.

Crochet Love

I've always loved knitting. Well, I haven't quite learned how to knit, I should say I've always loved knit items. And I've longed to create beautiful blankets, cozy sweaters, soft scarves, and teeny tiny booties for teeny tiny feet. But crochet? I don't know, it's always been kind of...eh for me. Until now. I think I just needed to see it in a different light to appreciate it.

A tiny glimpse of my little Boo's corner, where there are always books to read and blankets to cuddle.

A pretty little thrifted baby blanket, too big to cover her but perfect for dollies and covering pillows.

I adore the color palette of Posie Gets Cozy's Sunshine Day Baby Afghan. It is so sweet and perfect.

I was surely taken when I first saw Wood and Wool Stools. I cannot decide which I love more, the vivid colored ones or the simple white.

Delicate hand crocheted earrings by Crochet Bijou. They remind me so much of a pair of vintage lace earrings that I own and treasure.

Bubbly, winter colored Cloudburst scarf By Clarice Handmade

Soft roses paired with velvet ribbon. Graceful scalloped evening bag with a lovely sheen. Amazing pieces from Silvia 66.

Loving it all.
